Ina Claire Morucci

Ina Claire Morucci, age 86, of 15 Forest Road, Bloomsburg, died on the night of May 20, 2022 at home peacefully, surrounded and supported in love by her family and caretakers.

Ina was born in Glen Lyon on October 17, 1935. She attended Newport Township High School where she met the love of her life and life-long soul mate, David Morucci, her husband of 65 years, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2019. 

Ina spent over 30 years working at the local Sears and Roebuck store in Bloomsburg, first as a telephone operator and later as a manager. But, her true work was the care of her beloved husband and two sons, Stephen and Michael Morucci. 

Ina was an exceptional woman, radiating a kind, sweet demeanor to those around her. She was an extremely loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother placing the needs of her family above her own. She was incredibly beautiful inside and out with a heart of gold and impeccable style. Her physical beauty was only surpassed by her genuine compassion for others. Her never-ending smile, love and support will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have known her.

On May 20, 2022 God was given back a true angel. She will be deeply missed and honored and the memories of her life will be cherished. Surviving are her sons, Stephen Morucci and wife Bonnie (Mulaski) Morucci, Exeter, and Michael Morucci and wife Beth Anne (Schilling) Morucci, St. Augustine, FL; two granddaughters, Kayla and Nicole Morucci; and three great-grandchildren: Juliette, Jameson, and Zion. 

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband was her step-mother, Dorothy “Dot” Eyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 12 noon in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Richard J. Mowery, officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation from 11 a.m.-noon at the church.
