Irene (Ferendez) Barrett, aged 91 of 130 E. Tenth St., Bloomsburg died at the home of her son Robert Barrett in South Centre Township on Monday afternoon, November 8, 2021, after an illness.
Born in Bedford, Mass. On January 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Armonda and Mary (Gonceivel) Ferendez. She lived in Bloomsburg for many years and also New York City.
Irene was last employed at Milco, Industries, Inc., in Bloomsburg and previously worked for the former Regal Shirt Factory in Catawissa.
She was a member of the Bloomsburg Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Mifflinville. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible and assembling 1000 piece puzzles.
Irene met and married her husband, Harry T. Barrett, Jr., in New York City and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1992. She was also preceded by two sons, Richard T. Barrett on January 13, 1989 and Joshua A. Barrett on Sept. 9, 2002
Surviving are two sons, Robert B. Barrett and his wife Patricia, Bloomsburg and Stanley D. Barrett and his significant other, Lin Brown, Northport, Fla.; two granddaughters: Deborah, wife of Michael Golbreski, Bally and Elizabeth, wife of Joel Corallo, Orwigsburg; three great-grandchildren: Joshua Shaffer, Isabella Corallo and Abigail Corallo. She was the last of her immediate family
Interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge, at the convenience of the family.
Memorial services will be held at time to be announced.
