Irvin L. Reibsome, age 83, of Riverside died at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Friday evening, Feb. 11, 2022.
Born in Danville on November 13, 1938, he was a son of the late John A. and Catherine (Bennett) Reibsome. He resided in Riverside since 2007 and previously lived in Danville He was a 1958 graduate of Danville Area High School.
Irvin was a longtime employee of the former Roselon Yarns, Inc., Danville, where he worked in the shipping and receiving department for many years.
He was a member of the Danville Moose Lodge, the Continental Fire Co. and American Legion Post 40.
Irvin served in the U. S. Army Reserves for a number of years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sandra G. Johnson, on April 7, 2020; a daughter Susan Reibsome in 2016; a son Scott Reibsome in 2019; five brothers: John A. Reibsome, Jr., Gerald Reibsome, Warren Reibsome, Donald Reibsome and Kenneth Reibsome; and by two sisters: Shirley Beers and Holly Temple.
Friends and relatives will remember Irvin as a member of the Danville Area High School football team, a member of the Danville Area Fastpitch Softball League and many area bowling leagues.
Irvin is survived by a son, John P. Reibsome, and his wife Kristene, of Danville; a daughter, Sharon Harner, Riverside; six grandchildren: Michael Harner and his wife Ashley and their partner Rayleigh, Meaghan wife of Robert Shamp, Brittany, wife of Daniel Winnick, Nathan Reibsome and his wife Casandra, Allison Jordan and Samantha Jordan; five great-grandchildren: Lillian, Ezra, William, Chad and Taya; a brother Larry Reibsome and his wife Iris of Danville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 11233 Bloom Road, Danville.
