Jack Goodwin Driggers, age 81, 46 Oak Street, Danville, died at 4:14 p. m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina on December 24, 1937, he was a son of the late Goodwin and Ernestine (Goodwin) Driggers. He resided in Danville for the past 30 years.
Jack was an electrician by trade. He took pride in working through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) union, Charleston, for 55 years.
He was a NASCAR fan and an avid gardener. He loved the outdoors and especially the flowers he planted.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jo Ann Anderson, with whom he observed his 59th wedding anniversary on February 19, 2019; two daughters: Robyn J. Tucker, Virginia Beach, Va. and Sharon D., wife of Mark Lauriello, Lancaster; a son, Jack G. "Patrick" Driggers, and his wife Patricia, Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two brothers: Charles Leon "Bubba" Driggers, and his wife Eileen and Raymond Driggers, and his wife Reba, all of South Carolina.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services or viewing.
In remembrance of Jack, memorials may be sent to your local animal shelter or rescue.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
