Jack Edward Welkom

Jack E. Welkom, age 86, of Big Valley Road, Catawissa, went home to be with his Lord 0n Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021.

Born on January 7, 1935, in the home which he grew up in in Slabtown, he was a son of the late John and Ella (Dancho) Welkom.

He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Bloomsburg.
Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for Kerris and Helfrich for 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed farming along with mowing grass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Rosemarie Newhart.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 68 years, the former Marlene J. Brassington and his five children: Tom Welkom, and his wife Patsy, Catawissa, Gary Welkom, Condon, Mont., Melody Welkom, Catawissa, Christopher Welkom, and his wife Michelle, Millville, Sherry Welkom wife of Timothy Young, Catawissa; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Mackiem, of Slabtown.

At this time, there are no public services scheduled.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & cremation Services, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
