Jack E. Westover, of Pealertown Road, Orangeville, died on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at The Gardens At Orangeville, where he was a patient.
Born in New Columbus on January 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Ethel I. (Peters) Westover.
Jack owned his own truck and hauled freight for many years. Prior to that, he hauled coal for Glenn Dodson and vegetables for Hanover Foods.
The highlight of Jack’s day was going to Benton for lunch at the Hoboken Sub Shop and visiting with his friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gail P. (Gochenaur) Westover, on February 8, 2007.
Surviving is his daughter, Christine L., wife of Corey Hess, of Sweet Valley; stepdaughter, Laurie A. Fritz, of Pensacola, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Fred A. Westover, and his wife Rebecca, Orangeville; sister, Shirley Louise Long, Gettysburg; sister, Joan, wife of William Carroll, of Gainesville, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday June 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. in New Columbus Cemetery, with his nephew, Fred A. Westover, Jr., officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
