Jacob M. "Jack" Baruch

Jacob M. "Jack" Baruch, age 76, 474 Locust Lane, Catawissa, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday morning, June 21, 2017.

Born on January 19, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Daniel and Esther (Lew) Baruch.

He was a graduate of New Utrech High School, Brooklyn, NY, where he was an outstanding pitcher on the school baseball team.

Jacob was self employed in the dry cleaning business for much of his working life.

He was of the Jewish faith and a member of the Knights of Pythias.

John served with the U. S. Army in the early 1960's

Surviving are his wife, the former Lorraine Pearlman,; three children: Allan Baruch, and his wife Lucia, Catawissa; Sheri, wife of Joseph Carlino, Lehigh Valley, PA; Eric Baruch, Staten Island, NY; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mel Baruch, and his wife Lucy, Neconset, Long Island, NY'

Funeral services will be held in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg on Saturday at 10 a. m.
