Jacob F. Lunger
Jacob F. Lunger, age 67, 28 Perry Ave., Bloomsburg, died at 4:15 p. m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Grandview Health Homes, Danville, where he was a patient since November 20, 2013.
Born in Bloomsburg on February 27, 1947, he was a son of the late Ivan Lunger and the late Hazel (McCormick) Lunger Lupini. He spent his entire life in the Bloomsburg-Berwick area.
Jake was employed by Milco Industries, Inc., Bloomsburg for 46 years, retiring in 2009. At Milco, he was active in the Textile-Garment Workers Assn. and served a number of years as President.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Darl Lunger and a sister, Linda Brown.
Surviving are two brothers: Roger Lunger, and his wife Ann, Bloomsburg and Terry Lupini, and his wife Kathy, Orangeville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Hendrickson-Mooresburg United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. There will be no viewing.
