Jacob S. Waters, age 69, 131 Main Street, Catawissa, died at 6:28 a. m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient for one week.
Born in Catawissa on November 30, 1945, he was a son of the late Cameron E. and Anna M. (Trump) Waters. He resided in the Catawissa area all of his life. In recent years he was employed by several roofers and earlier was employed at the former Columbia Silk Mill in Bloomsburg for many years.
Jacob was a social member of the Catawissa American Legion Post 541 and the Catawissa VFW Post 8306
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Waters and Betty Jean Fillman; and by a brother, Cameron E. Waters, Jr..
Jacob is survived by a son, Bo Jacob Waters, Nescopeck; a grandson, Aiden J. Waters, Nescopeck; three brothers: William Waters, Bloomsburg; Robert Waters, and his wife Ruth and George Waters, and his wife Janet, all of Catawissa; a sister, Florence M., wife of Sterling L. Andrews, Sr., Danville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are a number of step- children and step-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
