Jacqueline Ann Di Virgilio Silkowski age 77 of 517 West St., Bloomsburg died Thursday February 1, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Jackie was born August 8, 1946, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Dominic and Doris (Woerner) Di Virgilio. She graduated from Central Bucks High School West, Doylestown in 1965. She attended Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and was First Seat Soprano in the Philadelphia All Girls A Capella Choir.
Jackie loved music, horticulture, and baking. She was a “Trekkie” who loved Sci-Fi. She was also in several Bloomin’ Follies production and Cape Cod was her favorite destination.
You could’ve found Jackie working the counter at Texas Lunch in Bloomsburg in years past or more recently at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Bloomsburg.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Nicholas Di Virgilio and her sister Evelyn Rankin.
Jackie is survived by her son Jason Di Virgilio of Bloomsburg and her grandson Lukas Di Virgilio; three sisters: Joan Ermel of Stratford, NJ, Gail Hess of Bloomsburg, Michelle Di Virgilio of Orangeville; one brother, Michael Di Virgilio of Philadelphia; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday February 17, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Chapel, 123 N. Market St. in Bloomsburg with the Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders officiating.
Jackie loved flowers or, in lieu of, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
