James Robert Williams

James Robert Williams, age 82, our beloved father of Northumberland, passed away at Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Jim was born in Danville on August 25, 1941, a son of the late Thomas L. and Anna R. (Fenstermacher) Williams. He grew up on farms with siblings Dan, Frank, James, Clyde, Nelson, Thelma, Martha, Letitia, Robert, Rose, Lee, Ann, Barbara and Johnny. He was a graduate of Danville High School and a proud “Ironman”.

Jim will be dearly missed by his friends at the Northumberland Fire Co. No. 1, the Norry Dogwalker Society and the United Parcel Service Old Crows Lunch Bunch.

Jim was a life member of the New York Mets and Giants fan clubs.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his loving daughter Merrilee, a grandson and a granddaughter.

He will be lovingly remembered by his life partner, Pat of Sunbury; his son Thomas; his daughter Tammy; six grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Letitia, Ann and Barbara; a brother Lee and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

At Jim’s request there will be no services.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing for their care and compassion.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
