Jean E. Adams, age 61, 826 LaSalle Street, Berwick, died suddenly at her home and was pronounced dead at 10:15 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014.
Born in Bloomsburg on May 14, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Clarence I. and Nellie J. (Petrich) Adams. A 1970 graduate of Southern Columbia High School, she had resided in Berwick for six years, and previously in Mifflinville.
Jean was formerly employed as a cook at Kemler's Restaurant, and also cleaned at K-Fab.
Surviving are two sons: Cody E. Avera and Adam E. Avera, both at home; three siblings: Jane Louise Farley, Mifflinville; Raymond Strausser, wife Diane, Nescopeck and Jeffrey Scott Strausser, Berwick; and a close friend, Richard Craig.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Alan F. Acor, pastor of the Mooresburg-Hendrickson United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
