Jerry Lee Derr, Jr.

Jerry Lee Derr, Jr., age 43, of 70 Fire Tower Road, Bloomsburg died at his home on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on September 15, 1978, he was the son of Theresa A. (Brady) Derr of Catawissa and the late Jerry Lee Derr, Sr.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Catawissa/Bloomsburg area and a 1998 graduate of Southern Area High School

Most of his working life was spent as a heavy equipment operator and he was currently working for Pennsy Supply of Dorrance.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as horseback riding.  The time he spent with his family was very important to him.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, the former Leslie A. Danuinas, with whom he observed their 22nd wedding anniversary on June 26, 2021; a daughter, Andrea Derr of Nanticoke; three sons: Jerry Lee Derr, III, twins, Jesse E. Derr, III and Eli Derr, all at home; a granddaughter, Evelyn Jones, Nanticoke; two sisters: Karen, wife of Kevin Murdock, Bloomsburg and Kelly, wife of Eric Erb, Lancaster; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa. There will be no viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home &  Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
