Joann J. Moyle

Joann J. (Hahn) Moyle, age 85, formerly of Reservoir Street, Bloomsburg, died at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center on Thursday evening, August 24, 2917. She had resided  there since January 29, 2015.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 26, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Lamar and Helen (Shaffer) Hahn. She attended the Bloomsburg public schools.

Joann was employed by a number of local stores during her working life, including LaGroceria on East Street;  Swisher's Market on US Route 11; and Gensemer's Meat Market.

She  loved to make crafts and to attend craft shows. Her special joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Joann and her husband, Ralph C. Moyle would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 8th. Surviving in addition to her husband, who also resides at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center, are three children: Pamela Drake, Wilkes-Barre; Matt Moyle, and his wife Nancy, Bloomsburg; Mark Moyle, Mohnton; six grandchildren, including Steve Drake (wife Kim) who was raised by Mrs. Moyle; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Newcomb, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina;  two half sisters: Mary Kay DeWeese and Linda Tisdale, both of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.  Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing from 1-2 p. m.
