John V. “Andy” Andreacci, age 76, of Danville passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Born on October 27, 1945 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Adeline (Ciuccio) Andreacci. He was a 1964 graduate of Williamsport High School.
Following high school, he served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service. After his active duty service, he joined the Air Force Reserves.
Andy was a member of the Danville Moose Lodge 1133 and American Legion Post 40, also of Danville. He loved walking his gun (hunting), music, collecting his treasures and his family, especially his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Dante Nicholas Andreacci and his -father-in-law, Lloyd Hampton.
Andy is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 23 years, Linda (Hampton) Andreacci; his sons, John Andreacci, and his wife Debra,of Williamsport and Joseph Andreacci, and his wife Stephanie, of Bloomsburg; a daughter Julie Andreacci, of Montoursville; a step-daughter, Melissa Hampton, of Silver Spring, Maryland; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a sister, Anita (Andreacci) Beiter, of Williamsport.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville, starting with a brief service and military honors by American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard at 11 a. m. Friends may call from 10-11 a. m.
