John A. Cherrington, age 28, 3 Hidden Hollow Drive, Bloomsburg, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in a motorcycle accident in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.
He was born in Bloomsburg on July 30, 1984, the son of Barry J.and Debbie J. (Rhoads) Cherrington, Bloomsburg.
John was a 2002 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and resided in Main Township all of his life. For the past six months he was employed by a metal roofer in Mississippi and previously by Sam Wharton Construction and Rieterâs, in Bloomsburg and also Berwick Offray.
He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Mainville.
John enjoyed working outdoors, playing pool, driving his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Tamra Brooke Cherrington on October 7, 2001; and by his grandparents, Norris and Betty Rhoads and James Cherrington.
Surviving in addition to his parents are seven siblings: Jason J. Cherrington, and his companion Gabriella, Mainville; Nicole J., wife of Hans Fisher, Liberty Town, Maryland; Scotty A. Cherrington, and his wife Crystal, Bloomsburg; Nathan M. Cherrington, and his fianceâ Michele, Berwick; Taran A. Cherrington; Kody T. Cherrington; Dustin A. Cherrington, all at home; one niece; seven nephews; and his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Cherrington, Maryland.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with his pastor, Rev. Jennifer M. Kopacz officiating. Interment in Emanuel Reformed Cemetery, Main Township. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p. m.
