John L. "John Boy" Gipple

John L. “John Boy” Gipple, age 43, of East 14^th Street, Berwick, died at his home on Sunday, November 19, 2023 after a battle with cancer, surrounded by his family members. He was a loving brother, nephew cousin and friend.

Born in Bloomsburg on September 27, 1980, he was a son of the late Larry D., Sr.  and Janice (Sellers)Gipple. He graduated from high school in North Carolina in 2001.

John Boy enjoyed family events, cookouts and playing cards. For seven years he volunteered at the Berwick Salvation Army. He collected matchbox cars, Dale Earnhardt memorabilia  and wolves.

In addition to his parents, he was receded in death by his step-mother, Patricia (Pfahler) Gipple.

Survivors include his aunt, Laura Remley and her companion Max Jenkins, with whom he resided, four siblings: Larry D. Gipple, Jr. of Danville, Patricia Gipple of Berwick, James Gipple of Milton and Anna Gipple of Berwick.

Aunt Laura and Uncle Max promised his step-mother they would watch over her children. He will be remembered by all is family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
