John M. Orlaski

John M. Orlaski, age 82, of 2928 State Route 42, Millville (Iola), died at 8:52 p. m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical center, Danville, where he was admitted on Wednesday.

Born on September 26, 1936 in Salem Township, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Jacob and Dorothy (Reighel)) Orlaski. He resided in Iola since 1968.

John was last employed by HRI, Inc. and earlier by the former Clair C. Hock, Inc. in Bloomsburg.

His hobby was collecting clocks and making Star of David’s out of wood. Saturday nights he would travel to Selinsgrove Raceway to watch the races.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Orlaski, Jr. and a sister Martha Orlaski.

Surviving are his wife, the former Martha S. Ploch, with whom he would have celebrated his 56th wedding anniversary on November 2, 2018; two daughters:   Angela Kremer, at home and Sharon, wife of Guy Boyer, Catawissa; four grandchildren: Alyssa Kremer, Brooke Kremer, Zachary Kremer, Gabrielle Kremer; a niece, Kay Cole, Bloomsburg; two nephews: Jay Orlaski, Selinsgrove and Alan Orlaski, Austinville, Ohio. He was the last of his family.

At his request there will not be any funeral services.
