Joseph W. Martz

Joseph W. Martz, 57, of Dahl Road, Bloomsburg died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, of natural causes.

Born in Bloomsburg on April 29, 1967, he was a son of the late Allen N. and Dorothy D. (Shoemaker) Martz. He was a lifelong resident of the Buckhorn area and a 1985 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Joe was employed by Swift, Inc and International Housewares, Orangeville for 30 years and was currently serving as warehouse manager.

He was an avid fitness and exercise person. He enjoyed gaming and especially family gatherings.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven J. Martz, on February 16, 2007.

Joe is survived by a son, Kelel Martz, his brother Allen N. Martz and his wife Cathy of Mifflinville, a sister Angelia wife of David Deitrich of Berwick; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at 11 a. m., in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Richard J. Mowery, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park at Lime Ridge. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a. m.
