Joyce Ethalia (Snyder) Laubach, 72, of Kressler Avenue, Bloomsburg died peacefully on Friday evening, April 4, 2025, at the Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community.
She was born in Bloomsburg on November 26, 1952, a daughter of the late Kent and Margaret Ethalia (Bell) Snyder. She was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg and a 1970 graduate of the Columbia-Montour Vocational Technical School. Her class chose the school mascot and colors.
Joyce was employed in the OBGYN office of Dr. T. Clark Corson, M. D., Bloomsburg from December, 1972 to 1996. She was a founding member of the board of directors for the Columbia Montour Aging office from 2005 to 2010.
She attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bloomsburg. She was also active as a member of Bloomsburg High School Band Boosters and supported many of her daughter Julie's high school sports and other activities.
Joyce served on the Bloomsburg Election Board 3-1 at the Bloomsburg Town Hall for many years. She also was a social member of the Bloomsburg Fire Department.
Surviving is her husband, Dennis A. Laubach to whom she would have been married to for 52 years on April 7th, a daughter, Julie Ethalia, wife of Michael Lang of Altoona, a granddaughter, Margaret Jo (Maisey) Ethalia Lang of Altoona, a sister, Kay wife of Dale Martenas of Bloomsburg; a brother, Gregory Snyder and his wife Sheri of Willow Street, an aunt, Geraldine Snyder, a guest at Glenbrook Nursing Center in Berwick and her special nieces Kelly Fensch and her husband Adam and children Tanner and Kasey, Jennifer Zeisloft and her husband Jason and children Ava and Arison and many first cousins that she loved like brothers and sisters, Barbara John and husband Robert of Catawissa, Brenda Traugh and the late Donald Traugh of Catawissa, Dale Kreischer and wife Linda of Catawissa, and Dennis Kreischer and wife Jane of Catawissa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
