She was devoted to her family and loved by us all!

She will forever live on in our hearts and memories and we find joy in knowing she’s reunited with our beloved Dad/Pop-Pop and their cherished pup, Missy.

Joyce married the love of her life, Roland David VanHorn, on November 16th, 1948, by the Rev. Bomboy in Bloomsburg. After moving around a bit and growing their family, they bought a house on VanDine Street in Almedia that was home to them for 60 years. In 1973 they became active members of Shiloh Bible Church. Together they served in the SHARE ministry and also in preparing and serving funeral services meals. They enjoyed camping, taking vacations, hosting holidays at their home, Sunday lunches and back porch sitting with their family. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before being temporarily separated by his passing on April 10th, 2014.

Joyce will be greatly missed by their 3 children: Sharon (VanHorn) and her husband Thomas Walter, Bloomsburg, Rev. Terry VanHorn and his wife Sabrina, Monroeton, and David VanHorn and his wife Coleen, Bloomsburg.
