Judith A. "Judy" Bonawitz, age 43, of Wapwallopen, passed away at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, on Monday, August 14, 2017, after losing her battle with cancer
Born in Philadelphia on December 19, 1973, she was a daughter of David A. Clark and the late Frances Lera (Howell) Clark.
An excellent mother and homemaker, Judy's ranch became a safe haven and shelter for unwanted animals and strays. Judy never turned away an animal in need. Providing a safe and loving environment for these unfortunate animals was her passion.
Judy assisted not only with unwanted animals, but also provided legal guidance and advice for Native Americans, assisting them at no cost with a wide array of legal matters. She was a giver of her time and attention for those in need.
In her spare time, which was rare, she loved to go hiking, camping, and attending Native American Pow Wows.
Judy is survived by her five children: Elizabeth Clark, Sonia Bonawitz, Crystal Rhul, Lynn Clark, and David Clark, II; four grandchildren: Peter Dreisbach, III, O'Ryan Bonawitz, Elizabeth Dreisbach, Lilyanna Rivera; her father, David A. Clark; her sister, Claire Delconte and two nephews: Joshua Rathfon and Wesley Smith.
Private memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 by her family.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
