June E. Andrew, a.k.a. Ethel June Smith, age 85, 245 Oak Avenue, Sebring, FL, died at her home on Friday, October 9, 2009.
Born in Lock Haven, PA on June 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Clair E. and Blanche A. (Irvin) Fritz. She resided in Lock Haven from 1992 to 2002 when she moved to Sebring.
She was a graduate of Albany High School, Albany, N.Y. in 1942 and attended the Albany Business College for one year.
Much of her working life, from 1942 to 1989, she was employed as an administrative assistant in business, industry and government. She was an information specialist working in the Governor of Pennsylvania Press office for ten years. She also served as an administrative assistant to Congressman Peter H. Kostmayer for three years and also worked for Arthur Anderson & Co., Washington, D.C. for six and one half years.
She was a member of American Mensa for over 17 years.
Her husband of 47 years, George A. Smith, preceded her in death on September 14, 1991.
Surviving are two children: Lynn A., wife of Greg Bryant, Marlborough, Mass.; Mark S. Andrew, M. D., and his wife Mylina, Haddonfield, N.J.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Clair M. Fritz.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at The Palms Tower, 245 Oak Avenue, Sebring, FL. There will be no viewing. Interment will be private in the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cementation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, PA.
