June K. (Keller) Long, age 103, of Main Street, Catawissa, died on July 4, 2021 at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center in Bloomsburg where she had been a patient since June 18th.
Born in Catawissa on May 4, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Roberts) Keller.
She was a 1936 graduate of the former Catawissa High School where she was the class valedictorian. She was a member of the St. John’s Community Church (formerly St. John’s Reformed Church). She also was a member of the Catawissa Garden Club.
June loved spending her summers in Canada on the St. Lawrence River and winters in Boynton Beach, Florida. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, doing daily newspaper puzzles, watching game shows, traveling and doing projects around the house. She bowled and was an avid golfer who scored four holes in one.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, F. Max Long on March 16, 1999.
June is survived by a daughter, Maxine Donnelly of Catawissa; two sons, Frederick Long and his wife Jacqueline, of San Antonio, Tex. and Edward Long and his wife Judith of Bloomsburg; five grandchildren: Stephanie Donnelly, Matthew Donnelly, Alyssa Long, Christopher Long and Eric Long; and two great-grandchildren: Jaxon Donnelly and Allison Jaye Long.
There will be no viewing and private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
