JUNE L. LONG
June L. Long, age 81, 323 W. Market St., Danville, died at 8:10 p. m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at ManorCare Health Services, Sunbury, where she was a patient since Sept. 3, 2010.
Born In Danville on Aug. 2, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Mabel (Shutt) Lormor. She was a lifelong resident of Danville and a 1947 graduate of Danville High School.
June was employed as a cook by the Danville School District at the Mahoning Cooper Elementary School for 20 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville.
June and her husband, Harry E. Long, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 12, 2010 and he is currently a guest at ManorCare Health Services, Sunbury. Also surviving are three daughters: Terri D. Long, and her partner Sharon L. Wagner, Danville; Brenda L., wife of Kimber Gross, Shamokin Dam; Barbara J., wife of Ricardo Starr, Sunbury; two granddaughters: Jillian Gross, State College and Rachel Gross, Northumberland; and a sister, Vera, wife of Robert Stine, Sr., Riverside.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Jean Crossley and Isabell Wertman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with her pastor, Rev. Michael A. Greenauer officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call on Thursday from 10-11 a. m.
