Kathleen E. "Kaybudd" Dreisbach
Kathleen E. "Kaybudd" Dreisbach, age 92, 1015 E. Fifth Street, Bloomsburg, died at 3:15 a. m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Pittsfield, Mass. on January 9, 1922, she was the only child of the late Joseph and Esther (Burns) Buckley.
Kaybudd was a 1939 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1943 graduate of the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY. She moved to Bloomsburg in 1946.
She was employed as a medical technologist by the former Bloomsburg Hospital and later at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, retiring in 1981.
Kaybudd was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, where she had been a member of the choir and participated in many other parish activities. She belonged to the former Business & Professional Womens Club (BPW); the Bloomsburg Civic Club and AARP. She was also a member and volunteer for PA P.E.T.S. and worked in their Fifth Street store for many years.
She belonged to the Sierra Club; the College of St. Rose Alumni Association; the Bloomsburg Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she volunteered at blood drives; and was volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Her husband, Charles E. "Chuck" Dreisbach preceded her in death on August 28, 2010.
Surviving are two sons: John D. Dreisbach, and his wife Esther, Bloomsburg and William C. Dreisbach, and his wife Susan, Medford, NJ; a daughter, Patricia D. Ferry, Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family in St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, by Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa.
