Kathleen P. Kobilis

Kathleen P. “Kathy” Kobilis, age 58, 1126 Lightstreet Road, Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly early Monday, September 26, 2016 at her home of natural causes.

She was born in Bellefonte on April 10, 1958, the daughter of Robert J. Kobilis, Sr., and the late Patricia A. (Horan) Kobilis.

Kathy was a 1976 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and a 1980 graduate of Lock Haven University. She was a clinical psychologist at The Wood School, Langhorne for 15 years, returning to live in Bloomsburg about 1995.

She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. (Horan) Kobilis on January 28, 2011; by her sister, Susan L. Nesbitt on February 10, 2008; and by her brother-in-law, Dr. Richard A. Nesbitt on June 20, 2005.

Surviving are her father, Robert J. Kobilis, Sr., with whom she resided; a brother, Robert J. Kobilis, Jr.,  and his wife Anita,  Conyngham, and their three children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, with Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence as the Celebrant. Private interment will be made in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
