Kay F. Rutter, age 91, Sunken Heights, Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Chris Oeste in Kennett Square, Chester County on Monday, March 2, 2015 following an illness.
Born in Danville on December 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Lottie J. (Tobolski) Fedroff of Danville. She was a 1942 graduate of Danville High School and resided in Bloomsburg since 1944.
Kay was employed as a secretary by By-Rite Supply, Bloomsburg, for many years. Her passion was her family and she treasured the time they spent together. She will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church for over 60 years.
Kay is survived by three daughters: Carole Steinruck, Bloomsburg; Kim, wife of Gary Kulp, Glenmoore; Chris, wife of James Oeste, Kennett Square; six grandchildren: David Steinruck, Tyler Kulp, Ryan Kulp, James Oeste, Katy Oeste, Julie Oeste; four great-grandchildren: Ben Steinruck, Charlotte Steinruck, Ellie Steinruck, and Nate Steinruck.
Kay is also survived by four siblings: Judith Bertke, Palm Harbon, Fla.; Robert Fedroff, York; Tom Fedroff, and his wife, Dottie, Lawrenceburg, Ind.; and Audrey Coombs, Bloomsburg.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: John Fedroff and Bill Fedroff; and a sister, Mary Fedroff.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Kayâs life will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg. The celebrant will be Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. There will be a time for visitation with the family at the Church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
The family will provide flowers. Memorials may be sent to St. Columba Catholic Church.
