Kellie Lyn Walsh, 48, of Lake Silkworth, passed away Friday, Oct 27th, 2023 in hospice care at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Kellie’s final moments were lovingly shared with her doting family; Her mother, father, and two affectionate brothers.
Kellie was diagnosed with cancer in 1998 but blessed us with 25 additional years until colon rectal cancer took hold in January 2023. Though surgery was successful, Kellie was never able to gain a full recovery.
Kellie had a beautiful soul and the temperament of an angel, except when her beloved brother Chris played games of keep away with her, we all knew who was boss! Kellie Lyn brought unlimited laughs and happiness to those blessed enough to know her. She never left her parents side in her 48 years of life and would often be seen visiting the local McDonalds for a Coke or a Sundae. Kellie also loved the horses at Friedman Farms. During her younger life, Kellie would spend countless hours rolling her ball and playing catch with her brothers. When Kellie enters the kingdom of heaven the first thing she will ask for is a pretty bookbag filled with M&M’s, a roll of quarters and, a radio that she can listen to her favorite music on. We would like to thank the many nurses and doctors that took such good care of our girl over the years. Not all heroes wear capes.
Surviving are her parents, John F., Sr. and Pamela (Kaminski) Walsh, of Lake Silkworth, her brother John Walsh Jr and wife Michelle of Pittsburgh, her younger brother Christopher Walsh and wife Bryn of Shavertown; her four nieces Isabella Walsh, Carissa Walsh, Ireland Walsh and Braylee Walsh and her nephew Boston Walsh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 10th at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, State Route 29, Lake Silkworth.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
