L. Mildred (Kline) Boyer, age 92, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Almedia) died at 8:52 a. m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at The Gardens of Orangeville in Orangeville, where she had been a patient since Jan. 9, 2020.
Born in Scott Township on August 24, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Harry R. and Margaret (Brobst) Kline. A lifelong resident of Scott Township, she was a 1945 graduate of the former Scott Township High School.
Mildred was employed by Milco Industries, Bloomsburg for many years and was last employed in the cafeteria of the Central Columbia High School.
She was a member of the Shiloh Bible Church, Almedia, where she was the pianist for the adult Sunday School class. Earlier she was a member and pianist at the former Bloomsburg Church of the Nazarene for 60 years until it closed.
Mildred enjoyed sitting on the front porch with her husband. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Boyer, Jr., on Nov. 1, 2015; by a son, Terry L. Boyer; a brother, Kenneth Kline and by three sisters: Ruth Kline, Naomi Letteer, and Miriam Kline.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Sandra L., wife of Larry Miller, Delaware, Ohio, a son, Rick L. Boyer, and his wife Mary Ellen, Carroll Park; three grandchildren: Wendi, wife of Col. Paul Rounsavall, USAF, Niceville, Fla.; William Miller, and his wife Jennifer, Blacklick, Ohio; Amanda Boyer, wife of Mark Humphreys, Bloomsburg; three great-grandchildren: Gabriel Rounsavall, Caleb Rounsavall, Katherine Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m. in Shiloh Bible Church, 123 Church Street, Bloomsburg (Almedia) with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial; Park. Friends may call on Wed. from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg or at the Church on Thursday from 10-11 a. m.
The family will provide flowers. Memorials may be sent in her memory to Shiloh Bible Church
