Larry L. Fink, age 71, 220 Sunmmerhill Avenue, Berwick, died at 2:03 p. m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient for eight days.
Born in Berwick on September 6, 1946, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Belva (Elliott) Fink. He was a lifelong resident of Berwick and a 1966 graduate of Berwick High School.
Larry was last employed by the Bloomsburg Area School District, as a custodian at the Memorial Elementary School, retiring in 2010. Earlier he was employed at the former Fulton Mfg. Co. until it closed and then he was employed by Bartlett Nuclear at the Bell Bend power plant.
He was a former member of the Berwick Christian Church. His greatest love was that for his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was truly a remarkable man.,
Larry served with the US Army in Korea during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife the former Alice H. Lanning, with whom he celebrated 37 years of marriage on May 23, 2017; a step son, Larry R. Parker, Jr., and his wife Joni; a granddaughter, Stephanie Parker; a grandson, Cory Parker, all of Berwick; two step grandsons; Michael White, wife Jayme, Bridgeton, New Jersey and Jonathan White, and his companion Missy, Gainesville, Florida; two great granddaughters: Morgan Parker and Hayden White; a brother, James Fink, and his wife Gail;, Berwick; two half sisters, Arlene Opp and Doris Strauss, both of Landisville.
It was Larry's request that there be no funeral services or viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
