LARRY B. RUPERT
Larry B. Rupert, age 68, 15 Red Mill Road, Bloomsburg, died at his home at 5 a. m. Friday, November 4, 2011 after having been in failing health for three and one half years.
Born in Bloomsburg on October 19, 1943, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Vivian Kathryn (Gulliver) Rupert.
Larry was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area and was a 1961 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. He also attended the Williamsport Technical School for two years.
He was employed by the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc., for 35 years, retiring in 2008.
Larry was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Sons of American Legion Post 601, Sonestown. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Surviving are his companion, Valerie Jean (Roadarmel) Fry, with whom he resided; a daughter, Jodi A. Rupert and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Bender, both of Summer Hill, Cambria County; and a sister, Barbara Jean, wife of Richard Gelsinger, Bath.
At the request of the decased, there will not be any funeral services or viewing.
