Larue D. Marks, Jr., age 59, 516 Merceron Street, Catawissa, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient since Monday.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on January 3, 1954, he was a son of the late Larue D. and Mae A. (Levan) Marks. He grew up in Catawissa and graduated from Columbia Area High School in 1972. He later lived in Bloomsburg and Danville before returning to Catawissa six years ago.
Larue was last employed by Deluxe Homes, Berwick and earlier at the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc. for many years.
He enjoyed camping, watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and hanging out with his grandchildren and family.
Surviving are a son, Larue D. Marks, III, and his wife Carin, Catawissa; a daughter, Becky J. Marks, Danville; four grandchildren: Dylan Coble, Morgan Marks, Madyson Marks and Larue D. Marks, IV; three siblings: Deb Marks and David Marks, Catawissa; Betty, wife of Chuck Rambo, Bloomsburg; aunt, Shirley Levan, Catawissa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
