Lavina P. "Sis" Ivey

Lavina  P. "Sis"  (Robbins)  Ivey, age 81, 67 Woodside Drive, Danville, died at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her home after an illness.

Born in Bloomsburg on April 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Jesse A. and Hazel C. (Leacock) Robbins.  She attended the Bloomsburg Public Schools and resided in Columbia County her entire life.

Lavina assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm.  She loved to cook, work in her garden and crochet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Ronnie L. Robbins; Donald E. Robbins; George H. Robbins; Jesse A. Robbins, Jr.; and by five sisters: Catherine M. McGaw; Irene Ivey; Virginia Fisher; Betty Reed; and Mary Simpson.

Lavina is survived by her husband, Dale L. Ivey, with whom she observed her 56th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2016; two sisters: Margaret C., wife of Robert Karlheim, Berlin, Maryland and P. Jane McHenry, Montgomery, Ala; a brother, Elmer C. "Moe" Robbins, and his wife Cheryl, Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend graveside services on Friday at 3 p. m. in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Espy, with the Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, pastor of the Lightstreet United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no calling hours.
