Linda J. (Hess) Brown Klann, age 75, 1031 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg (Lightstreet) died at 6:40 p. m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on January 25, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Robert O. and Nina M. (Goss) Hess. She grew up in Raven Creek and lived in Rohrsburg before moving to Lightstreet 34 years ago.
Linda was a member of the Rohrsburg Christian Church.
She was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co. for many years before retiring. Following retirement she was employed at the Bloomsburg Public Library for about five years.
Linda was most proud of her children and especially her grandchildren to whom she was Nana. She bragged about to anyone within listening distance. She never missed an opportunity to say kind loving words on every Facebook post. She loved playing bingo, reading, puzzles, going to the beach and her country.
Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin W. Brown, Sr. on November 19, 1973, with whom she shared four children; also by a sister, Sandra K. Stoker on November 20, 2003 and a brother, Richard C. Hess, on August 1, 1997.
Surviving is her husband, Karle W. Klann with whom she would have celebrated 14years of marriage on October 30, 2018 and with whom she shared 34 years of life together; three sons: Calvin W. Brown, Jr., and his wife Linda, Williamsport; Kevin D. Brown, and his wife Edna, Bloomsburg; Christian L. Brown, and his companion Diana Mike, Bloomsburg; a daughter, Sherry Sue, wife of Kevin Gordner, Orangeville.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Aaron W. Brown; Mallory J., wife of Derrick Vaughn; Megan L. Brown, and her companion, Brian Ludwig; Matthew W. Brown, and his wife Amanda; Brett D. Gordner, and his wife Janel; Brandon Gordner, and his fiance Jessica Jurbala; Sean C. Brown; nine great-grandchildren: Nathan, Aliyah, Aiden, Abel, Mason, Colt, Raymond, Carter, and Sawyer, due December, 2018; two brothers: Thomas Hess, and his wife Dorothy, Muhlenburg and R. Clair Hess, and his wife Karen, Myerstown; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her brother-in-law, Pastor Mark A. Stoker officiating. Interment will follow in the Rohrsburg Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 - 11 a. m.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Bloomsburg Public Library, 225 Market St., Bloomsburg, Pa 17815 to share her love of reading.
