Linda Sue Fester, age 51, 579 West Third Street, Bloomsburg, died at her home at 9:30 a. m. Friday, January 22, 2010 after having been seriously ill since June, 2009.
Born on April 7, 1958 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Albert E. and Betty J. (Johnson) Kressler. She spent her entire life in the Bloomsburg area.
Linda was employed by Decorator Industries, Inc., Bloomsburg for 25 years, last working in March, 2009.
She was a member of Ridge Street United Methodist Church, Almedia.
Linda was active as a volunteer for Relay For Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents and also by her step-mother, Betty E. (Rockwell) Steward Kressler.
Surviving are her husband, Reynold B. Fester, with whom she celebrated her 11th wedding anniversary on October 16, 2009; a son, Chad Kressler, Bloomsburg; a step-son, Chad B. Fester, and his wife Kathi, Bloomsburg; a step-daughter, Nicole, wife of Lee Henninger, Bloomsburg; three grandchildren: Blaine Fester, Ava Fester and Matthew Henninger; a God-son, Dillon Hartman, Bloomsburg; five siblings: Joan, wife of William Underwood, Millville; Albert E. Kressler, Jr., and his wife Judy, Bloomsburg; Barbara wife of Ed Doebler, Linden; Kenneth E. Kressler, and his wife Denise, Bloomsburg; Carol Montero, Harrisburg; and two step-brothers: Loren A. Steward, and his wife Patti, Bloomsburg and Harold E. Steward, and his wife Judy, Berwick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Robert J. Eddinger officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p. m.
