Linden Ray “Link” Fox, age 75, of Shamrock Road, Paxinos, died on October 22, 2024 at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Born on February 3, 1949 in Bangor, Maine, he was a son of the late Clifton and Avis (Carron) Fox.
He was a journeyman heavy equipment mechanic and welder by trade for over 40 years. He last worked for Deacon Equipment Company.
Link was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God.
This man was as strong and healthy as they come. He was a hard worker and as a heavy equipment mechanic for over 40 years there wasn't anything he couldn't work on. He was an avid kayaker and enjoyed being outdoors! He knew when bad weather was coming just by the trees and could name pretty much anything he found on his walks in the woods. We always joked he should've been a science teacher.
He was a quiet, private man with a strong German presence in his nature. He loved watching his birds, collecting unusual things from nature, getting firewood, and could make anything with his hands. If it could be repaired, he always figured out a way. In his younger days he enjoyed roller skating and he met his wife helping her up after a spill. He was wise beyond his years and always gave sound advice for any of life's ventures. He was either feared or well loved by all that knew him and was most definitely a one of a kind. He was active in his church and committed to his faith without waiver. He will be missed dearly.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, the former Rosemarie Halter; and three children, Daniel Fox, and his wife, Raquel, of Everett, Washington, Matthew Fox, of Paxinos, and Sarah Fox, of Hegins; a brother, Allen Fox, and his wife Lynn, of New Hampshire; and a sister, Judy Frank, of Albany, NY
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday January 19, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville, with Mr. David Miller, of the Philadelphia Church of God, officiating.
