LOIS I. EDMUNDS
Lois I. Edmunds, age 86, 17 Water St., Washingtonville, died at 11:10 a. m. Sat., April 30, 2011, at the Kramm Nursing Home, Milton, where she was a patient for three years.
Born in Danville on May 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Minna Ruth (Seitz) Freeze. She was a 1939 graduate of Danville High School.
Lois resided in Washingtonville for 40 years and in Bucks County for 15 years prior to that.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Raymond J. Edmunds, Jr., on July 25, 2002.
Surviving are five children: Kenneth E. Edmunds, and his wife Sandra, Pottstown; Harold R. "Hank" Edmunds, and his wife Anise "Peanut", Milton; Cynthia A., wife of Robert H. Schaeffer, Watsontown; Theresa L. Edmunds, Montandon; George A. Edmunds, Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: George Freeze, New Jersey; Harold Freeze, and his wife Carroll (correct), Long Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Velma Slayback, Burlington, Ken.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of N. E. Pa, 63 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
