Lois I. Roberts, age 75, 91 Schoolhouse Road,  Bloomsburg (Buckhorn) died at her  home at 11:06 a. m. Monday, November 18, 2013. She was in failing health since being involved in an accident in April, 1995.

Born in Pine Township on January 11, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Larue and Mabel (Glidewell) Bitler. She was a 1956 graduate of Millville High School.

Lois was last employed by the J. C. Penney Co., Main Street, Bloomsburg and earlier was employed at the former S & H Green Stamp Store and F. W. Woolworth 5 & 10 Store, both in Bloomsburg.

She was a member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg.

Surviving are her husband, Russel O. “Pappy”  Roberts, with whom she celebrated her 57th wedding anniversary on June 23, 2013; a son, Roland O. Roberts, and his wife Vicky, Graham, N.C.; a daughter, Lisa D. Roberts, and her husband John Shank, Oaks; a grandson, Aidan RobertsShank; a granddaughter, Nuala RobertsShank; a sister, Sara Klingaman, Buckhorn; two brothers: Arthur Bitler, and his wife Arlene, Millville and Gradon Bitler, and his wife Gloria, Bloomsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 E. Seventh Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Stephen D. Engelhardt officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg and also on Friday from 10-11 a. m. at the Church.

The family will provide flowers. Memorials may be sent to Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ.
