Lois C. Stanziale, age 88, 445 Hillside Drive, Bloomsburg, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center, where she had resided for three and a half years.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Louis A. and Jennie (Baker) Frank. A 1944 graduate of Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre, she had resided in Bloomsburg since 2007; and previously in Wilmington, Del. for 55 years.
Lois was employed at the former Sears-Roebuck and Co., Wilmington for twenty years, retiring in August of 1986.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William H. Stanziale on May 5, 2012; and by three sisters: Dorothy Leffler, Marjorie Eddy and Kathryn Stahl.
Surviving is a daughter, Karen L., wife of Larry Maurer and a son, Michael W. Stanziale, both of Bloomsburg; five grandchildren: Jody Maurer; Jacob Maurer, wife Erica; Anthony Stanziale; Christopher Stanziale and Nicholas Stanziale and three great grandchildren: Rachel Kempski, Brady Kempski and Chase Maurer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke Way, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Jeffrey G. Bohan, officiating. Interment in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
