Margaret "Margie" M. (Maximchuk) Klenert

Margaret M. “Marge” (Maximchuk) Klenert, age 92, of Oxford, Chester County and formerly of Hill Street, Benton, died early Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster.

Born in New York City on December 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Dimitri and Margaret (Oest) Maximchuk. She was a graduate of Strauben Muller Textile High School in New York City, Class of 1948. She also attended the Monroe School of Business, Bronx, New York for one year. She resided in Benton from 1989 to 2016 when she moved to Oxford to live with her daughter.

Marge was employed at Fulfillment Corp., Farmingdale, Long Island, N. Y.  for 16 years as a mail machine operator. After moving to Benton, she was employed by the Thompson Mailing Co in Bloomsburg for one year in a similar capacity.

She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Benton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard F. Klenert, on August 7, 2014; by a daughter, Nancy Margaret Klenert, on July 20, 1998; and a son, Richard John Klenert, on June 1, 1961.

Marge is survived by three children: Michael R. Klenert and his partner, Claudia of West Islip, Long Island, N.Y.; Valerie A. Breish, with whom she resided in Oxford; Thomas J. Klenert and his wife Christine of Conroe, Texas;  eight grandchildren: James, Travis, Blake, Mason, Kimberly and partner Ali, Peter, William and Nicholas; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Maximchuk of Florida; a sister, Helen Rosalie, Far Rockaway, New York and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11 a. m. in Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, by her pastor Rev. Andrew St.Hilaire. Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 10-11 a. m.
