MARGARET A. “MARGIE†MOSER
Margaret A. “Margie†Moser, age 72, 36 Spring Street, Danville, died at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after a brief illness.
Born in Mahoning Twp., Montour Co. on August 12, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Alice F. (Brady) Lunger. A graduate of St. Cyril’s Academy, she had resided in Danville all her life.
In 1960 Margie graduated from Jo’ Mel Beauty College, Bloomsburg and went on to own and operate Margie’s Beauty Shop for the next several years. Most recently she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 32 years at Geisinger Medical Center.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Danville.
The most important thing in Margie’s life was her family, and she devoted herself totally to her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Lunger, Jr.
Surviving is her husband, Robert D. Moser, Sr., with whom she would have celebrated 51 years of marriage on October 13, 2013; five children: Jane M., wife of John W. Uperti, III, Woodbridge, Va.; Robert D. Moser, Jr., wife Lisa, Danville; Christopher J. Moser, wife Traci, Danville; Marianne, wife of Scott Wright, Danville and Kathleen, wife of Franklin D. Riegel, Jr., Riverside; 23 grandchildren: Alyssa, Emily and John W. Uperti, IV; Ashley, wife of Doug Johnson; Ian and wife Megan, Abigael, Amelia, Jacob, Jenna and Madison Moser; Courtney and Nathan Shultz; Maxwell, AnneMarie, Zachary, Ethan, Aaron, Michael, Timothy and wife Annette, Vanessa and Nicole Wright; Rebeccah and Matthew Riegel; six great-grandchildren: Sadie Jane Moser; Taj, Paige, Alyssa, Anessa and Jayden Wright and three siblings: Alice M., wife of William Corcoran, Bloomsburg; Thomas Lunger, Georgetown, Ky.; and Mary Catherine, wife of Joseph Millard, Sunset Beach, N.C.
Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Danville.
