Margaret "Peg" Woznek

Margaret "Peg" (Honors) Woznek, age 96,  formerly of Bloomsburg, died at 4:11 a. m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Providence Place Senior Living, Drums, where she resided for three years.

Born on May 15, 1923 in Skaneateles Falls, New York, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Scullion) Honors.

Peg graduated from Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, New York in 1941 and also from the Central City Business Institute. She was employed by the Crouse Hines Corp., Syracuse, New York.

She married her high school sweetheart, William S. "Bill" Woznek  on his return from military service in the Pacific Theatre , on November 29, 1945. The marriage ended with his death on October 30, 2016 after  70 years of marriage. They moved to Bloomsburg in January, 1970.

Peg was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. She also was a charter member of the Mountain Laurel Chapter of the Embroiders Guild of America. She shared her works and taught her skills to interested needle workers.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith, wife of Philip Iannaccone, Evanston, Illinois; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Lucille Dillon, who resides in Oregon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, by her pastor, Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence.  Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Viewing on Wednesday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Prayer service at 8 p. m.
