MARIAN   T.   GULLIVER

Marian T. Gulliver, age 94, 531 W. Third St., Bloomsburg, died at 5:30 p. m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center where she was a patient  since Aug. 16, 2010.

Born in Mifflintown, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Edward S. and Maude (Smith) Taylor. She resided in Bloomsburg for over 50 years and was a 1934 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

Marian was last employed as a teller by the former First Eastern Bank in  their Bloomsburg office where she worked for many years. Earlier she was employed by the former  Bloomsburg State College.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Gulliver on March 16, 1973;  a son, Michael E. Gulliver on Oct. 25, 1985; a sister, M. Thelma Taylor on Jan. 30, 2008; and by a brother, Robert H. Taylor on Aug. 24, 1973.

Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Collings, Selinsgrove; two nieces: Norma, wife of Gary Wise, Elizabethville and Gale T. Miller, Pueblo, Colo.; a nephew, H. Robert Collings, Selinsgrove; a great-nephew; a great niece; a great-great niece and her close friend, Joan Lavis, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
