Marianna D. (Dollman) Michael

Marianna D. (Dollman) Michael, age 97, of 241 Scotch Valley Road, Bloomsburg, died peacefully at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

She was born in Coalport, Clearfield County on January 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Warren A. and Clara A. (Thomas) Dollman. She resided in Eyers Grove from 1948 to 1953 when she moved to Beaver Township. She was a 1943 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Marianna was employed by Weis Markets from 1943 to 1948 where she was in charge of the produce department.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Beaver Township, where she sang in the choir for many years. She loved music, doing crafts and especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Robert W. Michael, on February 10, 2018; a sister Margaret Ellen Dollman in 1931 and a brother, Llewellyn T. Dollman in 1976.

Marianna is survived by a daughter, Kay, wife of Charles Kuczynski and three sons: James Michael, and his wife Teresa; David Michael; Van Michael, and his wife Linda, all of Bloomsburg; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: M. Doris Dollman, Philadelphia and Virginia K. Long, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11 a. m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 114 Beaver Valley Road, Bloomsburg with her pastor, Rev. Christine Kirchner officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
