Marie Femenella

Marie A. (Henry) Femenella, age 89, 1283 Cherry St., Bloomsburg, died at her home at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, after an illness.

Born in Brooklyn,  New York on November 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Delaney) Henry. She resided in Bloomsburg for five years and previously lived in South Carolina and New Jersey.

Marie was employed as a secretary to the principal of a high school.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas L.  Femenella on November 25, 2000 and by nine siblings.

Surviving are two sons: Nicholas Femenella, and his wife Cecelia, Staten Island, NY and Joseph Femenella, and his wife Theresa, California; a daughter, Marie, wife of Harry Leitner, with whom she last resided; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was the last of a family of ten children.

Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 12:30 p. m. in the Chapel of BG William C. Doyle  Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ, with the Rev. Joseph J. Farrell, pastor of the Church of the Assumption, New Egypt, NJ officiating.
