Marilee J. Miller, age 77, 122 Valley View Road (P. O. Box 497), Mifflinville, died at 6:10 p. m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Balanced Care At Bloomsburg in Scott Township where she was a patient for one week.
Born in Mount Gilead, Ohio on December 26, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Gertrude A. (Davis) Branaman. Upon completing her high school education she attended and graduated from Bowling Green University, Bowling Green Ohio, with a bachelorâs degree in elementary education.
Marilee lived in Mifflinville since 1971, and taught first grade in the Central Columbia School District for 25 years, retiring in 1996. She had previously taught in Ohio.
She attended the Shiloh Bible Church, Almedia, enjoyed reading, writing letters and attending Bible study in various places.
Marilee is survived by a son, Jeffrey D. Miller, and his wife Laura, Gilbertsville; four grandchildren: Patti Sue, wife of George H. Swift, IV, Point of Rocks, Maryland; Eric J. Miller, and his girl friend Angela Yoder, Bechtelsville; G. Scott Russ, New York City; David L. Russ, Seattle, Wash.; two great-grandchildren: George H. Swift, V and Tyler G. Miller; and a sister, Judy Crumrine, Evanston, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon officiating. Interment will be made privately. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p. m.
