Marion A. Fink, age 89, formerly of East Locust St., Fleetwood, died at 10:45 a. m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at Berks Heim where she was a guest for six months.
Born in Greenwich Township on April 9, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Susie M. (Dietrich) Sunday. She resided in Virginville for many years before moving to Fleetwood in 1979. She was a 1938 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
Marion was employed by the former Fleetwood Shirt Factory for 27 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, and was active in Bible study throughout the East Penn Valley.
Marion was a member of the Lyons Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary and had also belonged to the former Ladies Auxiliaries of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Co.; Hamburg Fire Co., and Virginville Fire Co. She also belonged to the Fleetwood Senior Citizens Club; the Virginville Senior Citizens Club; the Virginville Grange for over 5o years and the Pomona Grange.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Fink on April 5, 1970; by three brothers: George Sunday, Raymond Sunday, an infant brother and a sister Florence E. Fink.
Surviving are a son, Ernest A. Fink, and his wife Joanne M., Blandon; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was the last of her immediate family and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at 11 a. m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 E. Arch St., Fleetwood. Interment in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday from 9:30 a. m. until the time of the service.
The family will provide flowers. Memorials may be sent to the Shriner's Hospital For Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Phila., PA 191409.
