Martha B. Young

Martha B. Young, age 92, of the Riverview Point Apartments, 131 Main St., Catawissa, died at her home at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, after a brief illness.

Born in Mayberry Township, Montour County on November 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel E. and Sarah A. (Wagner) Parks. She resided in Buckhorn from 1950-2001, when she moved to Catawissa.

Martha was last employed by Emenee Manufacturing Co., Catawissa, retiring in 1977. Earlier in life she worked for the former Magee Carpet Co., Bloomsburg.

She was a member of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Young on April 25, 1994.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda L., wife of David C. Kriner, Bloomsburg and a grandson, James L. Crone, Jr., wife Jennifer, Spring Hills, Fla. She was the last of her immediate family, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
