Mary Audrey Crawford, age 84, formerly of Central Road, Bloomsburg, died at 2:57 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Bloomsburg Hospital. She was in failing health for eight years.
Born in Berwick on June 17, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Olive (Painter) Yohey. She resided in the Bloomsburg area since 1945.
In early years, Audrey assisted her husband in operating the former Crawford Motors, Espy.
She was a member of the First English Baptist Church, Bloomsburg; and Bloomsburg Chapter 279, Order of Eastern Star. She loved music, dancing, flowers and gardening; as well as her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Crawford, Sr. on Oct. 10, 1997; six sisters and five brothers.
Surviving are six children: Joseph D. Crawford, Jr., Rochelle, Va.; Robert J. Crawford, wife Darlene, Bloomsburg; Bonnie J. Crawford, Winter Springs, Fla.; William R. Crawford, companion Pat, Bloomsburg; Thomas L. Crawford, wife Rita, Bloomsburg; and James E. Crawford, wife MaryEllen, Bloomsburg; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Learn, Orangeville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. L. Lee Barnhardt officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
